Any works on Council managed land requires written Land Manager consent.
If the works are on Crown land, including alterations to private jetties, you may also require land owner consent from the Crown or consent under the Marine and Coastal Act 2018 from the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change. This can be obtained via the Department of Energy, Environment, and Climate Action.
A Planning Permit is required to alter a private jetty on Crown Land and to erect or alter a private jetty within Riviera Harbour Canals Paynesville. Before lodging a Planning Permit application, Land Manager consent must be obtained to accompany the Planning Permit application.
